The LYRASIS DataCite US Community is a national community of practice for non-profit organizations in the US dedicated to creating and maintaining DOIs (Digital Object Identifiers) for research data, scholarly content, and unique cultural heritage materials. DataCite Canada Consortium Membership Update February 06, 2020 With final pricing for the DataCite Canada Consortium now established, the Canadian Research Knowledge Network (CRKN) and CARL Portage are pleased to announce that service fees for 2020 can be fully covered by Portage’s RDM Directed Funding administered through CANARIE as one-time transition funding. DataCite members enable data owners, stewards, or archives to assign persistent identifiers to research data. In 2020 DataCite has changed its membership model and offers three types of membership: 1) Member-only (this type of Member wants to collaborate with DataCite or be part of DataCite’s governance. These Members do not register DOIs. Beginning last year, DataCite opened its membership up to any organization that shares our data sharing mission, effectively broadening our community to incorporate new points of view.
